Olivia (Kalki Koechlin), a Franco-American novelist, returns to her family’s ancestral village in the French Pyrenees to write the story of her grandmother, who fled Paris during the Nazi invasion during World War II. For years she’s wanted to write the story, but now her grandmother is dead and she can’t ask her any questions.
